In many ways Venice was a disappointment to me.

August was totally the wrong time of year to visit this romantic city. No mist or interesting atmospheric conditions, just too many tourists wearing trainers and sloppy clothing.

I have promised myself to revisit this wonderful city and hopefully capture the magic that I am sure is there.

The images I have chosen to show have been printed quite dark  to try to convey some a sense of age and coherence to the panel of work.
